HEATLESS BATHROBE CURLS:

You may have heard of this.  Or you may not of.  All in all, this has been a trend on social media for about the last year or so.  Give or take.  The amazing results you get from this method have helped in its popularity.  As well, this method is very economical, creates less damage to your hair as well as helps you save time in getting ready in the morning.  Now who doesn’t love that?

Check out the steps below:

  • Make sure your hair is slightly damp (either from washing or giving it light spritz with water)
  • Position your bathrobe belt on top of your head with equal lengths on each side
  • Divide your hair in half down the middle and then start wrapping sections of hair around the tie
  • Grabbing more hair as you move along
  • Secure the hair to the belt with an elastic or tie
  • Allow the curls to set by sleeping with the curls overnight
  • In the morning run your fingers through your hair to break apart the sections and create a natural look

BANANA PEEL:

Before you throw away that banana peel.  You might want to think twice about that.  Surprisingly banana peels contain nutrients and phytonutrients that are beneficial to the skin.  As well as heal many skin conditions.  So to assist with our DIY Beauty for Summer here are the benefits of using a banana peel to help with your glow-up!

  • Brightens and calms skin irritation
  • Can smooth fine lines
  • Rich source of fatty acids to treat issues like psoriasis and eczema
  • Can make skin rich and supple
  • Help reduce wrinkles, puffiness, dryness, and breakouts

METHOD TO USE IT:

Wash face and pat to dry.  Take a  banana peel and start massaging it onto your skin with the inside of the peel.  Continue until the peel turns brown.  As well as wait ten minutes or so.  Wash off the banana peel.  Continue this every time you make a smoothie and you will not only be feeding your body from the inside.  As well as glowing up with your DIY Beauty regime for the summer months.

HOMEMADE LEMONADE:

As the temperatures soar and we enjoy the warmer days and nights.  There is nothing more refreshing than fresh homemade lemonade.  Some of the great things about it are you know what’s in the ingredient list, it’s easy to make with a blender and it can save you money to make your own.  Whether you spending a day at home or heading out for the day.  Make a pitcher full to enjoy on the go or at home.

How to dry nail polish faster?  Now I wish we all knew this sooner rather than later.  At any rate, there is nothing more frustrating than taking the time to pamper yourself.  With a manicure and no sooner do you think your nails are dry when you get a smudge.  NOT NO MORE!  With this hack your nails will be dry in seconds.  Check out this article and video from Elle Australia explaining how to do this hack and the science behind it.

FOAM ROLL TO REDUCE CELLULITE:

It’s been shown that foam rolling is a proven way to loosen muscles, speed recovery and prevent injuries.  Which all sounds amazing!  But I am guessing you probably have never thought about your lymphatic system.  The lymph is directly connected to the fascia which sits right underneath the skin.

Altogether this network of connective tissue surrounds and stabilizes all muscles, organs, joints, and bones.  Playing an important part in the internal health of our body.  Furthermore, with everyday stressors and inflammation the body can experience stagnation of the lymphatic system.  Foam rolling oxygenates the blood which will hydrate your fascia and help create movement and flush out the build-up.

Check out the video below to show you how to foam roll parts of your body.
