Do you have a child in your life who loves to paint?
This DIY gift idea may help you add a small item to an already birthday or Christmas gift. It’s an idea I used in my own life and I’d love to share it with you.
The things you are going to need are a picture frame, some paint ( I used Rust-oleum Chalk Paint in Blush Pink), paintbrush/supplies, 5 x 7 paint canvas, glue gun, and craft adornments from the Dollar store.
Remove the glass and back support of the frame and start painting the frame. Give it a few coats till your happy with the look.
Once completed painting the frame take out your glue gun and attach your craft adornments to your frame. This a perfect time to search for items in your craft stash or get creative. I had these woodcraft items and felt they went well with the color and theme of the picture frame. This gift idea was going to a young girl who loves pink!
Here in Canada, I found a thin 5×7 canvas at the Dollar Tree to insert into the picture area behind the glass. Before inserting the canvas I took some alphabet stickers from my craft stash and wrote Paint Me on the plastic-wrapped canvas. So any child you are giving this gift to can get creative and paint a picture for their new picture frame.
If you are new to painting like me and my family we located this wonderful website called Step By Step Painting.
