DIY Twine Vase:
Do you have an old vase that you would like to refurbish?
If you are like me you may have a small stash of vases that you have collected from flowers given to you. Or you’ve picked them up at the Goodwill store and you’re looking to give them a new lease on life. Maybe you don’t like the color of it and it doesn’t fit in with your decor.
If so here’s a simple idea to refurbish the vase and create a new home decor piece to decorate with on a budget.
Supplies Needed:
- Glue Gun
- Hot Glue
- Sisal Twine
- Vase
- Glue Gun Mat
The first thing you are going to need to do is to give your vase a wash with soap and water.
Then lay out your mat for hot gluing. (I got mine at the Dollarama Craft section in Canada).
If you don’t have a silicone mat to protect your work service. Therefore see what you have around home and maybe use a piece of cardboard.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Take your sisal twine and your glue gun and put a dab of hot glue on the vase.
Attach the sisal twine to the spot on the vase where the hot glue was attached.
Furthermore, keep attaching the sisal twine to the vase as per the photos.
This project is very easy it just takes time to keep circulating the twine on the vase with dabs of hot glue.
All in all, here is the finished look of the project!
Until next time! Hope you’re enjoying your summer.
