Let’s create a sparkly candle holder with items you probably already own at home.
Supplies:
- Clear glass holder
- Dollar Store Sparkly Rhinestone Gems
- Dish Soap, dish scrubber, cooking oil, and baking soda
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR CONTAINER:
I will share with you how to clean your glass container and remove a label. Especially if you are using a glass container that was used for something else previously.
Firstly, take 1 tbsp of baking soda and 1 tbsp of vegetable or olive oil. Create a paste and rub it onto the label, and let it soak for ten minutes. Wipe the paste and paper off with a dish scrubber and rinse the glass clean.
Furthermore, the oil works to soften the label’s adhesive, and the baking soda acts as a gentle abrasive. As a result in the paper is easier to rub off. Voila! Works like magic!
HOW TO CREATE SPARKLY CANDLE HOLDER:
Finally, measure your rhinestone gems to match the width and height of the glass container. According to your measurements, cut a strip out of the gemstones.
Second start to unpeel the protective layer from the sticky adhesive and line up the gemstones. Onto the glass and start to press down and wrap them around until they match up where you started.
Finally this is a simple, cute, and sparkly project. And I love how you can use these gemstones for so many things.
Some examples may be picture frames, mason jars, shoes, fashion accessories, wall art, etc. The list is endless.
