Valentines Hot Chocolate Love Bombs

Valentines Hot Chocolate Love Bombs

Christmas is barely finished and Valentine’s Day is coming around the corner.

If you’re looking for a little treat to show the people in your life they are special to you.

Then check out this project to let them know.  On Valentine’s Day, you are thinking of them.

RECIPE:

  • 1 cup of chocolate chips – plus extra for drizzling
  • 3/8 cup instant hot chocolate mix or cocoa
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons edible sprinkles
  • dash of pink sea salt
  • dash of cinnamon
  • dash of sugar 
  • 12 silicone heart molds 
  • Pastry brush 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Firstly, microwave the chocolate chips in a bowl on medium power in 20-second intervals. 

 

  • Stirring in between.  Stop heating just before they are fully melted.  Stir remaining morsels to melt.
  • Place silicone molds with five cm cavities ( 12 molds in total) on a baking sheet.

 

  • Secondly, using a pastry brush, paint about 10 ml or 2 tsp of chocolate on the bottom and sides of each mold.   Lining the inside fully.  
  • Thirdly, once coated in chocolate place the tray in the freezer for five to ten minutes to harden.   Place the molds facing down.

 

  • Therefore, after the chocolate is solid, carefully stretch the molds with your hands to loosen the chocolate.

 

  • Moreover add 1 tbsp of cocoa mix, a dash of sugar, pink sea salt, cinnamon, and five or six marshmallows to a chocolate half.

  • In the meantime working one at a time, gently remove the empty halves from the mold.  

 

  • Placing an empty shell on a warmed plate to slightly melt the shell edge. 

 

  • On the other hand, remove the shell from the plate and press onto a filled half.  Hold steady for a few seconds to seal.  Repeat with remaining shells.  

 

  • Furthermore, decorate the shells with a drizzle of melted chocolate and sprinkles.  

 

  •  In conclusion, return the tray to the freezer for a few minutes to completely set before serving.  

 Above all place one bomb in a mug and pour 1 cup of hot milk to melt.
